a a a SECTION 1: Admissions procedures

  l Complete the registration form.
l Fax or email or mail in the registration form.
l We will send you an invoice for the full fees.
l Pay by wire transfer, bank draft or money order to Royal Canadian Institute of International Studies.
l After receiving full payment of fees, we will send you a Letter of Acceptance and Receipt.
l After receiving the Letter of Acceptance and Receipt, you may apply for a visa, if needed.

SECTION 2: Accommodations

Various options are available to students who wish to arrange their accommodation through RCIIS. Each has its own advantages depends on the student’s desires and needs.

Homestay:
By living with a Canadian host family while studying English, you will have the opportunity to engage in conversation while you experience a new lifestyle and culture. It is a great opportunity to speak and listen to English in a natural environment, a safe and secure environment to live in

RCIIS offers a variety of private accommodation and Shared house options. Space may be very limited.

SECTION 3: Airport pick-up service

We offer a one way airport pick-up for international students. A representative from RCIIS or the host of your homestay family will welcome you and bring you to your accommodation. We can provide this service as long as we know at least 5 working days in advance, the exact arrival details: date, time, airline and the flight number.

Airport pick-up confirmation will not be provided until an official payment confirmation had been sent to the school.

SECTION 4: Visa and immigration

To study in Canada, you may need a study permit or a temporary resident visa, though not everyone must have these documents.

To obtain your entry visa to Canada, you must present a valid passport, and a letter attesting to your registration in a school (Letter of Acceptance) to Canadian authorities. You must also be prepared to show that you have sufficient financial recourses to cover the cost of your study and your studies.

SECTION 5: Medical Insurance

Health care is not free for international visitors in Canada. It is therefore absolutely necessary that you take out an insurance policy. If you do not do this before you leave, you should do it as soon as you arrive in Canada.

SECTION 6-2: RCIIS REFUND POLICY

In all cases, the registration fee is non - refundable.
As student authorization or Visitors visas can take up to several weeks to process, please consider this length of time.
Non-attendance of class does not justify refund of fees.

REJECTED VISA
In the event that you do not get your student visa, RCIIS will refund all fees, except for the non-refundable Registration fee, but only upon receipt of the original Letter of Acceptance and Receipt from RCIIS along with the official letter from the Canadian Embassy refusing the visa.

CANCELLATION AFTER GETTING STUDENT VISA
There is no refund of any fee for applicants who have successfully received their visas with the Letter of Acceptance and other documents and assistance from RCIIS.

CANCELLATION BEFORE THE START OF PROGRAM
If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institute providing student returns of original Letter of Acceptance and Receipt issued by the institute 30 calendar days or more before the start of the program, a cancellation fee of 25% of total tuition fee will be charged.

Less than 30 calendar days before the start of the program, a cancellation fee of 50% of total tuition fee will be charged.

If for any reason, a student is dismissed from RCIIS, no refund will be made on the subsequent months tuition.

DEFERRALS
You may defer your registration start date one time only, you will be charged a 10% of tuition fee as deferral fee before the start date. Defer your program after starting the program, a 25% of tuition fee as deferral fee will be charged and the institute will decide your returning session. There will be no deferrals for the second term.

ACCOMMODATION REFUND
Accommodation refund requests must be received in writing at last 30 days in advance. The placement fee is non-refundable.
